I was browsing YouTube, looking at car chases from various movies. I found a good clip of the mall chase scene from the “Blues Brothers” where cars go tearing through the old Dixie Square Mall in Harvey, IL. I’d seen the movie, but never knew any of the local lore about this long-abandoned mall. I ended up following the poster’s other vids, where he filmed this abandoned, decrepit, retail wasteland. I like snooping around abandoned places too, so by now I’m intrigued enough to look at this guy’s profile. It contained this quote:

“I am a criminal in the minds of some. I am an artist in the minds of others. I believe I am completely out of my fucking mind.”

Brilliant. I wish I’d thought of it first. My hat is off to you, “jonrev” of YouTube.
